The most common window type. Both the upper and lower sashes slide vertically. Allows ventilation from the top, bottom, or both simultaneously.

A protective layer applied to the exterior of a wood window frame — typically aluminum or vinyl. Provides weather protection while maintaining the wood interior appearance.
