Definition
An insulated glass unit (IGU) with two panes of glass separated by a sealed air or gas-filled space. Standard for modern windows. Also called dual pane.

A protective layer applied to the exterior of a wood window frame — typically aluminum or vinyl. Provides weather protection while maintaining the wood interior appearance.
